Chapter 5: [Undercover]

Cobra lowered tara hand. "Tara, please. Let things be as they are, they are causing no harm at all. And plus why would we want to chase out such charming guests." Cobra turns his lower half into clear gas and floats to the kitchen. He grabs them each their preferred  drink, and hands it to them.

Gajeel gave her the finger hidden from view, so she wouldn't get angry.She suddenly turned into a bitch.

"So...why are you here?"

"Ah thank you my dear! Such a good boy." Willow shot Asuya a look of disbelief, as if silently saying "How could you hate this guy?" Asuya silently took her drink and set it aside, staring to the side as if in thought. After sipping her drink, Willow spoke again.

"We are here, simply because we figured we should give you guys a second chance. As I said before our sudden departure, I left dear Asuya with you guys so that she could assist you and make your team stronger. However, as you've seen, she is quite unstable. Having you all crowd and pressure her, combined with lover boy's threat of violence drove her off the edge and brought out her dark side. But you couldn't have known, so, we offer a second chance at peace." Willow stood up and looked at everyone in the room.

"We merely offer our assistance...We are not the bad guys here. We just want to remain a family...and truth be told, your insolent little pig-team is getting in the way of our happiness...So, we decided we should help you guys out so as to prevent any further annoying meddling..."

"Well, we already know what Asuya can do, but how about you? Aside from being cute and kind of murderous, what do you think you can offer us?" Max asked her.

"Master Max, this might not be the most opportune time for negotiations..." B.U.N.N.Y said.

"Ah, an excellent question...What can I offer...Well..." Willow brought up her hand to tap her chin. As she did, several little flickering lights could be seen in the air near her face.

"For one...I can decide NOT to slaughter you all one-by-one in cold blood merely because your existence interferes with our happiness...I think that's fair, don't you?" Willow's eyes shifted over to Max.

Cobra rises to the ceiling and hangs upside down."I would say something, but i am not part of your little group. However i think it would be lovely to have such as Strong angel, back into our lives."

(Greed) "Indeed"

"Perhaps because a psycho knows when to stop being psycho for a moment and compromise if she knows it'll benefit her...Wouldn't you agree?" Willow brought her hands back down to her sides, and the lights went away. Asuya continued to stare silently. Willow then looked at Sasha.

"Such a cute little child...As much as I value the opinions of a child, it won't be official until the 'leader' agrees...So what do you say, lover boy..?" Her eyes shifted over to Jaden.

Kiru, who had been in the other room, entered and spotted Willow and Asuya, "Ah, hello you too, not trying to kill the moron that calls himself our leader yet?"

Willow continued to stare at Jaden, but Asuya looked over at Kiru and finally spoke, a mixture of malice and boredom in her voice.

"Not yet..."

Willow's eyebrows raised, as did her hands as she looked up to the ceiling and screamed "FINALLY!" With a malicious laugh, she looked back down at Sasha.

"Surely you jest? Your insolent team has finally grown a pair and overthrew your precious Jaden? I guess a half-robotic monstrosity isn't fit to be leader like I thought."

Kiru rolled her eyes, "I'd follow a half-robotic monstrosity, he's just made of fail."

Cobra refomred his lower half and sat on the sofa rest near asuya. He didnt look at her, but he did loook at the ceiling. "You know, you dont have to be so distant, i mean once u get to know me i dont bite." Cobra Pulled on his neck collar and kept his eyes on the ceiling.

Willow tilted her head at Max's question then pondered for a bit. Rolling her eyes and sighing, she stared up at the ceiling.

"You idiots just don't understand was the word 'team' means do you..?" Willow's smile faded and looked at everyone in the room.

"Being a team means being close with your friends and treating them like family. A team is not a matriarchy or a patriarchy; there is no 'leader' in a team, because then the team loses all meaning. With a leader, a team becomes nothing more than peons following a wannabe king or queen. And when a team is like that for so long, what happens eventually? The team loses trust in one another. There arises problems and anger and fury and sadness toward the leader and themselves. If left unchecked, a leader becomes that king or queen and things spiral out of control. The fact that you insolent morons haven't figured it out yet baffles me. The reason Jaden is an incompetent leader for the team is because this group you have ISN'T a team at all. A team has no leader. A team is built solely on trust and coordination, and a leader only defiles that meaning. A team is family. Got that?" Willow crossed her arms and stared over at Asuya, who was staring down at the ground. Asuya had been told this speech before, when her and Willow were younger. She stood up and spoke to Willow.

"I remember that day...the day you and I were in gym class. You gave the same speech when you were picked to be a captain for dodgeball. You declined, because to you, family is everything Mary. A family has no leader...And a team is comprised of those closest to you, your family...I finally get that now." Asuya smiled as she looked at her sister. Willow returned the smile.

"So you morons think Jaden is an incompetent leader? He is. He has very little skill and I could kill him right here, right now..." One of Willow's wires immediately slithered over to where Jaden was sitting and coiled around his throat, but only stayed there.

"...But I won't, because you won't learn anything..." The wire soon retracted.
